Let’s Get Started...

Wreath:

1.  Print out both bow patterns and trace each on double muslin so you have 2 bow pieces for each pattern (4 in total).

2.  Stain (see Inside Heart Basic Instructions For All, below for instructions on staining).

3.  Putting both large pieces on bottom and smaller pieces on top, tie in very center with a piece of matching thread and tie.   With fingernails, scrape along all edges to fray them out.  Glue to top of 12-inch wreath.

4.  Take about 4-5 pieces of raffia and tie in a smaller bow, glue to center of muslin bow letting the strands of the raffia hang down.

5.  Hot glue Pip Berries around wreath to your liking.

6.  Glue vintage button on center of raffia bow.

7.  Glue a piece of Velcro to top center of the back of the wreath.

8.  Cut a piece of jute about 7 inches in length and form a hoop and hot glue each end to either side of where you just glued the Velcro to back of wreath (for hanger).

Outside Hearts Basic Instructions For All:

5.  Stuff and sew opening closed.

First get all your materials together; a cup of water, paint brush, paper plate, antiquing medium, and paint in appropriate color (see individual months for colors), and plenty of rags as this is messy.

1.  Tie a small piece of thread to top of heart (for hanging to dry).

2.  Dip a small amount of antiquing medium and paint on the paper plate.

3.  Dip your brush in the cup of water, then into the antiquing medium and finally into the paint and then paint the heart.  Continue with this method until heart is completely painted.

4.  Hang to dry.
